Helpful SquidGee SealOnce™ tips directly from our customers.
Great for first time users!
Use an empty box as a work station. Just hang your SquidGee™ main section with the bottom side up on one edge of the box. This will make installing our basement waterproofing system even simpler. Notice how the empty box is used to hold the SquidGee™ main section while the SealOnce™ is applied.
Caulk a tall bead of adhesive. What you need when placing your SquidGee SealOnce™ on the bottom of your main section is a tall bead of adhesive. This tall bead of adhesive will seep down into the pours of the concrete basement floor to give you a long-lasting watertight bond.
DO NOT press down on SquidGee™ main section. Once you apply the SealOnce to the bottom of the main section it is critical that you set the section in place along the wall and DO NOT press down. Once the section is set for 30 seconds, do not disturb the section by pressing or installing Butt-Joints. In fact, its best to wait two or three days before installing the Butt-Joints. This will ensure your basement waterproofing system has the most secure, water tight bond to the floor.

Caulk the joint where the system meets the floor. As soon as you set each main section into place on your basement floor, caulk the joint where the system meets the floor and feather the SealOnce up onto the face of the main section and out onto the floor. This can be done with many different tools. You can use either a folded piece of cardboard or a cornering tool from you local hardware store to feather the SealOnce™ up onto the face of the main section and out onto the floor. Or, you can dip your fingers into some liquid laundry soap and slicking the SealOnce™ so it feathers down onto the floor tight.
Drain your SquidGee™ System. When draining your basement waterproofing system to a floor drain, take a short piece of 4" PVC pipe (you would purchase this from your local hardware store) and slice it into two halves, each piece will now look like a crescent shape. Next, seal the edges of the half-round PVC pipe with the SealOnce™ adhesive to the floor. All the water in the SquidGee™ System will run under the dome-shaped pipe to your basement floor drain.
